Move Out Resident


After a resident moves out, it's required to move the resident out to complete the. 
  1. On the left sidebar, select Properties>Residents and select the resident you would like to move out

  2. Note: If there is more than one resident, you will be able to move them all out at at the same time after selected the primary resident

  1. Click Renew/Move-Out

  1. Enter residents Forwarding Address

  2. Click Continue

  1. You can now enter any Move-Out Charges the resident owes

  2. Note: the deposit will be applied to pending charges or outstanding rent




  1. Enter the check number you are using for any deposit refunds due to resident

  2. You can attach any documentation you want to share with the former resident related to move-out charges
  3. Click Process Move-Out (This cannot be undone)


  1. The Resident Status is now updated to Former


  1. The former resident will receive an email with move-out details

    1. If they are due a deposit, it will note the property will send a check in the amount due to former resident. 
      1. Please ensure your property sends the deposit refund in a timely manor to comply with appropriate
        State and Local Laws


    1. If the former resident owes property, they will be emailed a link to pay any outstanding balance. 
      1. Note:  Former resident will be able to continue to use the Renter Insight Resident Portal to pay any
        amounts due
