1099 Filing

Easily file 1099 Misc. & 1099 NEC.  Renter Insight has integrated with NELCO, the leader in electronic form filing.  

IRS requires filing on most payments >$600.  The IRS requires electronic filing for 10 or more 1099's.

To file 1099's, you must first indicate the Vendor or Property Owner should receive a 1099.  Follow these links to update Vendors & Property Owners.


Generate 1099 Filing

  1. On the left sidebar, select Accounting>Accounting>1099 Reporting
  2. Click FILE NOW

  1. If you are missing information from your Account Profile, you will be prompted to update required information. 
  2. Click YES

  1. Update required fields 
  2. Click SAVE

  1. You can now Create a NELCO Account




  1. If selecting individual leases, select the leases and click Add Leases

  1. Click CREATE ACCOUNT

  1. You now can return to the Renter Insight browser to enter your NELCO credentials 
  2. Click Manage Account

  1. Enter NELCO User ID & Password & Click Save
  2. You will not have to enter your credentials again unless you change them with NELCO


Generate 1099

  1. You can now generate 1099's on vendors & property owners you've indicated should receive 1099's for amounts over $600.

    1. Note:  If you do not see the vendor/property owner listed, they are either below the $600 threshold, or they do not have 1099 indicated in their profile.

  2. Select one, or all of the vendors/owners you wish to Generate 1099's for


  1. Select services and Click Next

  1. Review & Click Next


  1. Add Payment Information & Submit
